Editorial Review:
Product Description: Civilization Past and Present, Concise Version, is a carefully honed version of the best-selling Civilization Past and Present, Ninth Edition. It treats the development and growth of civilization not as a unique European experience but as a global one through which all the great culture systems have interacted to produce the present-day world. This new text includes all the elements of history-social, economic, political, military, religious, aesthetic, legal, and technological-to illustrate that global interaction.MARKET Appropriate for anyone interested in World History. ISBN This is a first edition text.

In 2004, we had already been using the tenth edition of this text, now this new version (eleventh) has just a few different things in regards to chapter placement and topic information. I have enjoyed using this textbook in my courses over the years, we have covered approximately 85-90% of the topics in the book during the regular semesters. We have broken the book down into two sections. The first is for 1311 or Civ. I, and the second for Civ. II or 1312. This text in my opinion should be used not only in the "core" courses, but also in the upper level or advanced classes as well..
