The first time you listen to this disc you will undoubtedly be transported directly back to your childhood. Charles Schulz's Peanuts characters will go toe-tapping and funky-dancing through your mind's eye. Play it a few more times, though (ignoring the dialogue snippets, if you can), and you will begin to truly revel in Guaraldi's wonderful, humorous, deep piano playing. You'll hear why he's such an influence on new age ivory tickler George Winston, but you'll also realize that Winston's holiday music never quite sparkles with the underlying passion, and humor, that twinkles in these grooves. I am not a fan of christmas music.....so when I had to play it 24/7 at my store. I wanted to have the relaxing sound of this cd. The holidays are always very stressfull for me and any little extra stress reliever is needed.

I have loved the Peanuts gang since I was a little girl and I still do, and the music of Vince Guaraldi encompasses the very essence of Christmas, before corporations and commericalism took over! Shame! Shame! This CD brings people of all ages together and can really transform people into the holiday spirit without the harsh, revamped old Christmas melodies sung today by no namers being thrown in your face when you walk into any retail store. The Peanuts CD lifts the spirits gently while one shops and the melodic masterpieces that Vince Guaraldi brings to each song is a treasure in itself. If there was ever a Christmas CD to spend money on, then this is the one! It is worth every penny spent and a CD that people of all ages love. This CD is also a CD that has been passed down in my family for decades and is played every Christmas morning. A great stocking stuffer too! I can't say enough about this mini masterpiece except that I feel gifted to listen to it every year! How can you not love the CD just for Snoopy alone?! A bit of nostalgia, especially around the holidays always bring sunshine into one's life and who doesn't want that? That alone hooks me and makes me happy! Hooray for Charles Schultz and Vince Guaraldi!

Lovely CD, great Guaraldi music, reminds me of growing up in the 60's when watching A Charlie Brown Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, and Rudolph, were essential points in the Holiday season.
The music is mellow and soothing and totally delightful.
The sound quality of the CD, despite what others might say, is fine!

I'm not a big fan of Christmas music but this CD I LOVE! It's mostly instrumental and is very soothing. It's the only Christmas music I listed to at the holidays.
