Ideal for darkrooms, greenhouses, or other environments that require a consistent temperature reading, the WS-7014CH records indoor temperature, humidity, and remote temperature as measured by the included TX37U-IT remote sensor. For those who need multiple temperature readings, the unit is compatible with up to three remote sensors, and displays the information in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. If gauging current temperature isn't enough to satisfy, the station also forecasts upcoming weather conditions based on changing air pressure, employing several user-friendly icons, such as clouds, raindrops, or the sun, in the display. The forecast is approximately 75 percent accurate for 12 to 20 hours.
Like all La Crosse Technology products, the included clock and date indicator receive their readings from the U.S. atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado, ensuring that the time is always 100 percent accurate. In addition, the weather station stores both daily maximum and minimum temperatures in its memory. The remote sensor is accurate up to 330 feet away with no obstructions, and approximately 50 to 65 feet away if exterior or interior walls block the weather station. Other features include a 12- or 24-hour time mode and an air-pressure tendency arrow. Only complaint I have is that the batteries fall out of the display unit very easily if it is tipped over. Then you have to go out side, get the remote sensor, take the batteries out, let both units sit for 5 minutes, put the batteries back in the remote sensor, then back in the display unit, then wait 5 or 10 minutes until the unit syncs back up with the remote sensor and the atomic time sets.
Besides that, it works great. Very handy having an atomic clock and knowing how cold it is out side.
I've only had it for about a month so far. The weather prediction doesn't seem very accurate, it changes from forecasting cloudy to sunny with in an hour. Maybe the cold weather is throwing it off.

I bought this product for my husband for Christmas and was very surprised when it arrived. It is much, much smaller than I had thought. Otherwise, product seems to work fine.

The temperatures checked against a lab standard thermometer are well within specs. The forcast signs are very accurate. Overall, completely satisfied.

I chose this weather station over some of the others because it's possible to use it with 3 different sensors. I wanted to monitor a couple rooms in the house as well as the outdoor temperature. One sensor comes with the unit and I ordered a second La Crosse Technology TX29U-IT 915 MHz Wireless Temperature Sensor that seems to work just fine. The additional sensors show up on the lower right hand side of the main unit and you can see them by pushing a little button to view each one. The main unit records the temperature wherever it's placed. I plan to order another sensor for a different room but wanted to see how the whole worked first. It's passed the test.
The only part that was a little tricky was putting in the batteries and starting it up for the first time. You have to put the batteries in the sensors first, before the main unit. And it says that you have to put the batteries into the main unit within 30 seconds of the others. It was easy enough to do but I wonder if it really has to be that precise?
At any rate, I like the unit so far and it seems to be accurate. It would have been nice if it had a backlight and it is a bit on the small side, but we don't have any problem reading it and it looks nice on the desk. I'm a little concerned about the sensor that is outside getting wet. It's protected under an eve, but how do you prevent anything outside from getting wet in a blowing rain? When my first La Crosse Ws-7014CH-IT Weather Station arrived it did not work. I sent it back and got another one. This one failed after 1 month. I'm generally happy with the station when it works, but it seems as though La Crosse has a quality problem. If you are lucky enough to get a good one you will probably be happy.
