About Podcasting

Podcasting is the process of creating and sharing audio recordings, generally as MP3 files. Podcasts are often presented as a series of shows on a related topic. Program formats can include talk shows and interviews, story telling, music shows, or other audio content.

Podcasting is unique in that listeners decide what programming they want to receive and when they want to listen to it. The listener also has the option of saving the podcast as well. Many listeners subscribe to podcast shows, allowing them to have new episodes delivered directly to their computers.

Podcasting is rapidly increasing in popularity and quickly becoming a mainstream method of communication.

Quick Blogcast

Quick Blogcast is a Web-based application that allows you to upload and host podcast files and blog entries.

Using Quick Blogcast, you can easily manage your podcast files or episodes by uploading them to your podcast site. After uploading files and publishing them on your blogcast site, visitors can listen to them. Uploaded files can also be listed on various podcast directories, like iTunes®.

Quick Blogcast supports music and video in MP3 and MP4 file types, including M4V, MPG4, M4A, MP4V, M4B, and MOV.

NOTE: We recommend that you only upload files with a sample rate of 11.025, 22.050, or 44.1 kHz, and a bit rate of 32,64,96,128,160, or 196. You cannot add music files to a mobile page.
